Al-Ettifaq International Academy at a Glance
Al-Ettifaq International Academy is perched atop a high hill in the Shafa Badran area, opposite the Applied Science Private University in the capital governorate of Amman. The school is built on a plot of land with a total area of approximately 7,150 square meters, and the total built-up area is around 12,000 square meters. It was established in 2003 and welcomed its first cohort of students at the beginning of the 2005/2006 academic year.
The school has been keen to provide both the physical and human infrastructure necessary to create a modern educational environment that keeps pace with the latest developments and technologies of this era. Our academy is confidently moving toward a promising future, striving to benefit from every successful advancement and valuable experience. The school building has been equipped with all essential facilities in a distinct manner. The classrooms were designed to accommodate fewer students than typical private schools. The national and international buildings together contain 102 air-conditioned classrooms that can accommodate more than 2,000 students. There is also a dedicated section for nursery and kindergarten, equipped with the latest educational tools tailored to the interests and needs of our young learners.
In addition, the academy features modern playgrounds, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, an indoor sports hall, and a school theater for activities and celebrations. For the safety of our students, the playgrounds are covered with artificial turf. A modern fleet of buses is available for student transportation. Classrooms from Grade 1 to Grade 6, as well as KG1 and KG2, are equipped with Smart Boards. The academy also includes science and computer labs and a library.
As part of our future plans, we aim to introduce digital programs for core subjects from kindergarten through Grade 6, and to implement blended learning and an online learning platform when necessary, as was the case during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Among our ambitious strategic goals is to provide a superior educational service aligned with global standards—an ideal the academy proudly upholds. By the grace of God, we inaugurated the international branch and obtained international accreditation for both the British (Cambridge Assessment) and American programs starting from the 2018/2019 academic year. Students are promoted annually, and parents are regularly updated on all developments regarding their children's enrollment in these programs.
The academy is committed to fulfilling its noble educational mission: preparing a conscious generation that is loyal to its religion, homeland, and nation—armed with knowledge, faith, and allegiance to the Hashemite leadership. We aim to instill in our students the ability to solve problems by developing their self-reliance and practical experience. To achieve this mission, the academy has assembled a distinguished team of administrators and teachers known for their expertise, knowledge, ethics, and faith.
Thus, our academy adds a modern educational landmark and a distinguished cultural achievement to our beloved capital, Amman. We are honored to dedicate this accomplishment to His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein—may God protect him—hoping that, through the collective efforts of all, we will continue to achieve the goals and philosophy of education and fulfill our educational aspirations and mission.
With God’s guidance,
The Administration
